Arnold Allen set for his first UFC Main Event

Top ten ranked featherweights are set to meet in the main event of the UFC event on October 29th.

The five-round headliner will see number five ranked Calvin “The Boston Finisher” Kattar against number six ranked Arnold “Almighty” Allen.

Kattar has cemented himself in the featherweight ranking as he heads into his fifth consecutive fight night main event. The New England Cartel representative is 2-2 in those first four main events winning decisions over Dan Ige & Giga Chikadze. A slick striker with an educated jab “The Boston Finisher” will look to rebound from a razor thin split decision loss to Josh Emmett.

Allen has been part of the UFC since 2015 accumulating a 9-0 record but this will only be the second time, he’ll fight twice in a calendar year. The Englishman has secured the kind of quality wins that would lead to believe his ceiling is very high. Allen has submitted current Bellator contender Mad Burnell, beat former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez & ranked contender Sodiq Yusuff by decision. In March the 28-year showed he was ready for the top contenders after stopping Dan Hooker by TKO in under three minutes.
