Bellator 288 Results, Nemkov Retains, Nurmagomedov And New
The Wintrust Arena in Chicago Illinois hosts Bellator 288. The 13-fight card is features a championship double header. Both the Lightweight and Light-Heavyweight championships are on the line. Plus the Light-Heavyweight title match will also crown a winner of the Bellator Light-Heavyweight Grand Prix.
The main event has Vadim Nemkov defending the Bellator Light-Heavyweight title in the Light-Heavyweight Grand Prix against Corey Anderson. The bout is a continuation of April’s Bellator 277 where the fight was called a no contest in the third round after an accidental headbutt.
In the co-main event Patricky “Pitbull” Freire defends the Lightweight title he won last November for the first time against unbeaten Usman Nurmagomedov. “Pitbull” won the then vacant title belt by second round knockout of Peter Queally at Bellator 270. Nurmagomedov is 4-0 in Bellator with three first round finishes.
