Johnson-Moraes Trilogy bout Headlines One’s U.S. Debut
The maiden voyage for One on U.S. will come with the conclusion of the saga between “Mighty Mouse” & “Mikinho”.
The first One event on American soil, One on Prime Video 10 will take place at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield Colorado on May 5th. Colorado is the birth place of American MMA hosting the first UFC in 1993.
The nights main event will see Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes battling for the One Flyweight Championship for a third time.
Johnson (24-4-1) was the first ever UFC Flyweight champion who defended the belt eleven times. Winning his first three fights in One “Mighty Mouse” won the One Flyweight Grand Prix.
Moraes (20-4) has been apart of One since One FC 12 in 2013. Moraes has won eight One Flyweight title bouts.
The first meeting between Johnson and Moraes happened in April 2021, where Moraes retained the Flyweight title by second round knockout. Johnson regrouped beating Muay Thia superstar Rodtang in a special rules match, while Moraes racked up another defense submitting Yuya Wakamatsu. In August Johnson won the rematch with Moraes by fourth round knockout.
