Two Title Fights set for Invicta FC 51
Invicta Fighting Championships will be back in Mile City in January for the third time with a championship double header. Invicta FC 51 will see both the Bantamweight and Flyweight titles on the line.
Taneisha “Triple Threat” Tennat will defend the Invicta FC Bantamweight title against UFC vet Talita Bernardo in the night’s main event. In 2020 Tennant won the third Phoenix tournament. The New York native won the vacant Invicta Bantamweight title defeating Lisa Verzosa at Invicta FC 44. In July “Triple Threat” defended the title successfully against Israel’s Olga Rubin. Bernardo is on a three-fight win streak. The last two wins have both been by submission and come inside the Invicta FC cage. Bernardo submitted Yana Gadelga by rear naked choke at Invicta FC 48 and used a kimura with tap out Katharina Lehner at Inivcta FC 50.
The vacant Invicta Flyweight title will be up for grabs in the co-main event as Kristina “Warhorse” Williams faces Ketlen “Esquentadinha” Souza. Oklahoma’s Williams is on a three-fight win streak. In her last outing at Invicta FC 48 “Warhorse” submitted Liana Pirosin by rear naked choke. Brazil’s Souza is on a four-fight win streak coming off a decision win over Maiju Suotama in her promotional debut at Invicta FC 49.
Invicta FC 51 is set for January 18th at Reelworks in Denver Colorado.
