Jake Paul is now fully Apart of the MMA world

The rumored interest in MMA from influencer Jake Paul has been confirmed. The social media mogul has signed with the PFL.

A transition from Boxing to MMA had appeared to be in the works for the Paul camp for quite so time. Paul had even made reference about planning to train with Khabib (Nurmagomedov) in recent months. The man who grew his internet fame on YouTube has a high-school wrestling background.

The move makes a lot of sense as Paul has put a lot of energy into grabbing the attention of UFC president Dana White. Advocating for the leader in MMA to further compensate athletes and wanting to form a fighter union.

Rather than talk about the sport he was competing in the much of the conversation he generated would revolve around MMA. The majority of opponents the Ohio native would target would be former MMA champs in the later stages of their competitive journeys. In his unbeaten Boxing career Jake is 6-0 with four wins by knockout.  Including wins over Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, and two over Tyron Woodley.

The move makes sense as the list of upper echelon, MMA Fighter‘s past their prime was starting to grow thin. The alternative might have forced the “Problem Child” into facing competition in their prime who primarily focus on Boxing.

The plan is for Paul to compete in the “Super Fight” division, on pay per view. No opponent or timeframe for his in Cage debut have been made. But Paul has released a video challenging Nate Diaz to a two-fight deal that would see the two fight in MMA & Boxing.

Paul’s stint with the PFL will not be a short venture. Besides signing to fight for the promotion, it’s being reported that Paul and business partner Nakisa Bidarian own equity in the company.
