Brown vs. Haga Headlines Fightworld MMA 28
The full card for Fightworld MMA 28 has been revealed. A 16-fight card will be headlined by a Women’s Strawweight matchup between big show vets.
The main event will see a battle between Invicta FC vets Amber “The Bully” Brown squares off with Celine Haga. Brown hasn’t competed in 44 months. Back in July Brown was set to debut for LFA but the fight was called off the day of the weigh-in’s after tragedy struck the family with the sudden passing of her daughter Maliyah. With a heavy heart and tons of motivation “The Bully” is ready to throw down again. Haga is no stranger to Albuquerque having trained at Jacksonwink for several years. Life has led Haga to Colorado where she now trains with Factory X. A pro since her 2009 the Norwegian raised fighter has competed for Jewels, Road FC, M-1, Combate Global, and Fury FC.
The co-main event will see the long awaited pro debut of Perez Fighting Systems Sterling Peak who’ll be facing Julian Perez from Zan Martial Arts in El Paso. Peak hasn’t fought in the cage since March of 2019 but did make a successful pro Boxing debut this past September stopping Ysidro Portillo Jr. Perez scored a first round knockout of Greg Allen back at Fightworld MMA 27.
The featured fight will see the pro debut of State champion wrestler Alejandro “Hondo” Gutierrez who’ll be taking on Alejandro Diza who fought UFC vet Jerome Rivera in 2015. The amateur portion of the card will be comprised of 13-bouts. The featured amateur bout will be part of the main card with the professional bouts. That fight will see Fit NHB’s Tyrel Wisdom against Elite Kickboxing’s Jeremy Alba.
Fightworld MMA 28 will take place at the Revel Entertainment Center in Albuquerque on March 11th. Door will open at 6pm MT with the first bell set for 7pm MT. Weight-in’s will take place at the same venue at 4:30pm MT on Friday March 10th.
