“The Magician” returns to Rizin in May
John Dodson will be returning to “The Land of the Rising Sun” to take another step towards title contention in Rizin.
Rizin 42 will be on May 6th at the Tokyo Ariake Arena in Tokyo Japan.
For his second fight in the promotion, the former two time UFC flyweight title challenger will face Tatsuki Saomoto. Dodson is on a four-fight win streak with his last three wins, two in BKFC and his debut win in Rizin over Hideo Tokoro coming by first round knockout. Dodson is back to showcasing the hand speed and swagger that won TUF 14 and took the UFC by storm. Saomoto is on a 14-fight win streak that includes four wins in Rizin, three of them by decision.
Former Bellator champion Juan “The Spaniard” Archuleta will take on Naoki Inoue who seven win in his last eights with four by submission. UFC vet Bellator roster member Spike Carlyle will square off with Rizin Lightweight champion Roberto de Souza.
