UFC 287 Quick Results, Adesanya reclaims his Crown in Devastating Fashion
The Miami Dade Arena in Miami Florida hosts UFC 287. The 12-fight card is headlined by a rematch for the UFC Middleweight title as Brazil’s Alex Pereira defends against his arch rival Nigeria’s Israel Adesanya.
Pereira ended Adesanya title reign at UFC 281. After nearly being finished in the waning seconds of the first round the former tow-division Glory World Champion storm back with a flurry of hooks and uppercuts to dethrone his nemesis. This will be the rematch in MMA while overall its the fourth battle including Pereira’s two wins over “The Last Stylebender” in kickboxing. Adesyana’s reign included 7 title defenses the second most in UFC history.
The co-main event is a top 15 welterweight matchup as number 5 ranked Gilbert “Durinho” Burns squares off opposite Miami’s own number 11 ranked Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal. The featured fight will see number 12 ranked bantamweight Adrian Yanez who’ll look to break into the top ten when he takes on number six ranked Rob Font.
