Brandao vs. Campos headlines PFC 29
After an awesome debut in Albuquerque, Peak Fighting is returning to their home turf of Texas for PFC 29 featuring a showdown between big show vets.
The main event will see TUF 14 winner Diego “DB” Brandao squaring off against long time Bellator staple Derek “The Stallion” Campos. Brandoa has primarily been fighting in Russian since parting ways with the UFC in 2016. “DB” is coming off back to back knockout wins. Last summer in Russia the Jacksonwink fighter ground and pounded his way to a win over Oleg Lichkovakha. The Brazilian got the year off to a great start in January scoring a first round knockout win over Matt Wagy. Campos will be having his first MMA fight outside of the Bellator cage in the last decade. “The Stallion” will be in his first fight since 2021 where he beat Brain Vera by decision in the Triller Triad Combat, a Boxing hybrid.
The vacant Peak Featherweight title will also be on the line as Luis Luna battles Dimitre Ivy. At Peak 28 Luis Luna won a one-sided decision over Josh Marsh. Ivy has won three of his last five fights including a rear naked choke of current Fury FC champion Huseyn Aliev in the Peak Cage.
PFC 29 is June 10th at the Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas.
