El Rey Theater to host Monthly Pro Wrestling Show
Burque has a rich professional wrestling history from the old matches at the Coliseum to today where Duke City Championship Wrestling will look to author the next chapter in the industry’s local lore.
Through the years most pro wrestling fans in Albuquerque have gotten their live fix from the occasional WWE event. For several years Destiny Wrestling Organization filled the whole of showcasing the local talent.
Duke City Championship Wrestling will be a reoccurring monthly spectacle taking place at the historic El Rey Theater on the third Thursday of every month. Entertainment industry veterans, venue owner Aaron Burnett, podcaster a Chris Burnett, broadcaster Fred Slow, & Joe Singer aka Hobo Hank have teamed on this venture.
Thursday, May 25 will be the champagne bottle bust inaugural voyage for Duke City Championship Wrestling. The headlining match will see Hobo Hank squaring off against Charlie 50. Two hours of spine snapping, chest slapping ,wooing-ly good family fun will be delivered by 16 diverse incredible performers.
