Bellator MMA is at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago Illinois for a stacked 15-fight card top buy a championship doubleheader.
In the main event, Cuban Olympic wrestler Yoel “Soldier of God” Romero challenges reigning champion Russia’s Vadim Nemkov for the Bellator Light-Heavyweight title. Romero earned his title opportunity off a pair of devastating knockout wins. This past November Nemkov defeated Corey Anderson to win the Light-Heavyweight Grand Prix and at the same time successfully defended his title for a third time.
In the co-main event Bellator Featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire will look to become the first MMA fighter to win major titles in three different weight-classes, when he challenges Sergio “The Phenom” Pettis for the Bellator Bantamweight Championship. Freire is a four-time featherweight champion who also won and relinquished the Bellator Lightweight title. Pettis is on a five-fight win streak and is returning to the cage for the first time since tearing his ACL last year.
