Compton against Valente Headlines LFA 165
Legacy Fighting Alliance will be making their Bay Area debut in August with a highly anticipated 185 lb. Showdown.
LFA 165 is August 18th at the Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz, California. The event streams exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
The main event will see Santa Cruz’s own Daniel “Santo” Compton taking on Brazil’s Renato “Indio” Valente. This is a revoking from LFA 161 where the two had been scheduled to battle in the co-main event.
Compton is currently on a five-fight win streak. The fighter nicknamed it “Santo” made a successful LFA debut last July defeating Billy Elekana by split decision. This past November Compton won the Tuff-N-Uff Middleweight title submitting UFC vet Maki Pitolo by kimura.
Valente will be stepping into his third Main Event for the LFA. The Kings MMA fighter has made waves in his two wins in the promotion pulling off a shocking split decision win over Dana White’s Contender Series vet Chibwikem Onyenegecha at LFA 110z At LFA 144 “Indo” showed his power turning out Jared Revel’s lights with the right cross. The Brazilian is also a threat on the back with four wins from rear naked choke.
