Championship Quadruple-header announced for Bellator 300
Bellator MMA is pulling out all the stops to make their 300th event the most memorable they’ve ever put on.
It’s almost Bellator night of champions at the Heavyweight, Lightweight, Women’s Featherweight, and Flyweight titles will on be on the line. Bellator 300 will October 7th at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
The highly anticipated long discussed Women’s Featherweight title fight between Cris “Cyborg” Santos & “Alpha” Kat Zingano is official. Fight fans have been clambering for this one since Zingano signed with the promotion in October 2019. “Cyborg” is on an 8-fight win streak, with the last two wins inside the boxing ring. Santos hasn’t defended the Bellator title since clearing out the division after beating Arlene Blencowe for a second time. Zingano is a perfect 4-0 in Bellator.
In a rematch Ryan “Darth” Bader will defend the Bellator heavyweight title against the surgeon Linton “Swarm” are you sure you’re Vassell. Her ass. Bader won the first meeting in 2017 by second round TKO. The champion is an unbeaten 5-0 in the division of giants. Vassell has won five in a row with four this is finishes from ground and pound.
The Bellator lightweight title will be on the line in a Grand Prix semifinal as Usman Nurmagomedov defends against former champion Brent Primus. Nurmagomedov submitted Benson Henderson in the quarterfinals following up on his domination of Patricky “Pitbull” Freire to win the lightweight strap. Primus win his quarterfinal bout over Mansour Barnaoui by unanimous decision.
And the Bellator Women’s Flyweight championship is on the line when ex-teammates battle as former champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane looks to go into retirement in glory when she challenges Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche. Since losing the title Macfarlane has won a pair of decisions. Carmouche has won all six of her fights in Bellator with four submission wins.
