Bellator Belfast Gains 2nd Title Fight -

Patricio “Pitbull” Freire is heading to Ireland to defend his Bellator Featherweight Championship.

The newly announced co-main event of the Bellator Championship Series: Belfast will see Jeremy Kennedy challenging Patricio Freire for the Bellator 145 lbs. title.

The powers that oversee the PFL made every attempt possible to have “Pitbull” be a part of the PFL vs. Bellator card. Injuries knocked both 2023 PFL Featherweight finalists, Jesus Pinedo and Gabriel Braga out of facing Freire in Saudi Arabia.

Jeremy Kennedy had already been preparing to face James Gallagher on this card. Decision wins over former title challengers Emmanuel Sanchez & Pedro Carvalho give the Canadian a three-fight win streak.

Irish submission, artist James Gallaher will remain on the card, now taking on Brazilian finisher Leandro Higo.

Bellator Championship Series: Belfast is March 22nd at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
