LFA 180 Results, Lance Lawerence Boxes his way past Landry Ward
It wasn’t the main event that was advertised but it was the main event fans deserved.
Legacy Fighting Alliance was in the Bluegrass State for the second time. The Broadbent Arena in Louisville Kentucky hosted LFA 180. The originally scheduled main event of Kevin Fernandez versus Igor Siqueria was a very late scratch from the card.
The main event we got had the crowd on their feet. Jiu Jitsu expert Lance Lawerence channeling his in inner boxer sitting Landry Ward down with right crosses in the first & second round. Ward stayed in the fight putting his front kick in Lawerence’s mouth early in the second and closed the round forcing Lawerence back with a solid left hook. Heading to his corner after the second Ward was wearing a pair of cuts under his right eye. Texas’s Ward fully committed to calf kicks in the third round. Even with a grapefruit forming on his lower left leg Lawerence pushed forward with long five & six punch combinations being pushed to the final bell by roar his home state audience carrying Lawerence to the decision win.
In the co-main event Tennessee’s Kegan Agnew took the fight right to California’s Richie Miranda. The Muay Thai fighter Agnew put catch wrestler Miranda right in the clinch even attempting his own takedown. Elbows in the clinch from Agnew encouraging Miranda to go for his takedown. Miranda getting two in the fight. By the third round Miranda a southpaw, was confident exchanging finding a home for his lead hook and his double jab-cross combination. The judges agreeing that Miranda had taken the decision as he looks to position himself for a LFA title shot now being 5-1 in the promotion.
