8 Bouts Compile – The Return of the Warrior
Two prominent promoters Holmes Boxing and Orthus Promotions have announced a joint calibration, “Return of the Warrior” on January 25, at the Buffalo Thunder Casino. This event will be the first presentation of 2014 for New Mexico fight fans to enjoy the sweet science in action.
In the main event Tony “The Warrior” Valdez faces Jaime “El Fama” Gutierrez, the two had been scheduled to headline the September 2013 New Mexico Pride and Glory card, before Gutierrez was forced to withdraw. Valdez did still headlined the card but but was defeated by Felipe Castaneda via 8th round TKO.
In the co-main event Brandon Holmes will look to stay undefeated after having collected a pair of knockouts over Daniel Salinas and Abelardo Javier Esparza, Holmes will tangle with Brandon Munoz of the Warrior Academy,; who is coming off a pro debut draw vs. Julio Gomez.
Returning to the ring for the first time in 5 years Monica Lovato squares off with Hondi Hernandez; who has not fought in 3 years and is currently on a 5 fight losing streak.
