Legacy FC 29 Headlined by Buentello vs. Dennis LHW Title Bout
Legacy FC 29 will be the organizations first event outside of Texas, as the March 21st, event will take place at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa Oklahoma; headlined by Paul Buentello battling Myron Deniss for the vacant LFC Light Heavyweight strap. In the co-main event TUF 12 winner Jonathon Brookins makes his Flyweight debut against Cody Fuller.
Buentello a former Strikeforce Heavyweight champion is on a 4 fight winning streakand recently dropping down to 205 lbs. During his current winning streak “The Headhunter” has knocked out Igor Kostin, Mike Cook, and James McSweeney; in his Light Heavyweight debut.
Dennis has won back to back bouts, with TKO’s of Victor Rackliff and Wayne Cole.
Brookins will be fighting for the first time since December 2012. Following a 1-3 stretch at Featherweight Brookins was released from the UFC and took time to find himself. Brooking who has 8 of 11 stoppage wins by submission now returns to the cage moving down 30 lbs from the weight that he won The Ultimate Fighter at.
In 2012 Fuller went a perfect 3-0, but that success didn’t carry over to 2013; as Fuller looks to bounce back from losses to Micah Stockton (SUB) and Ryan Benoit (TKO).
