One FC 14: War of Nations adds Boku-Lepont & Burns-Sarmiento
Two new bouts have been announced for “War of Nations” the 14th One FC event with at Lightweight Kotetsu Boku (20-9-2) squaring off with Arnaud Lepont (9-3) and at Featherweight Harris Sarmiento (36-25) battles Herbert Burns (2-0).
Boku, since defeating Zorobabel Moreira to become the inaugural One FC Lightweight champion, has lost back to back bouts to Shinya Aoki (SUB) and Vuyisile Colossa (UD).
Lepont, a submission specialist made his promotional debut on a 6 fight winning streak which was ended by a submission loss to Shinya Aoki (triangle choke); and has followed that up with a submission (armbar) loss to Eddie Ng.
Sarmiento has been fighting as a pro since 2002 and has fought against the like of Nick Diaz, Gilbert Melendez, and about 8 other UFC & Bellator vets. Sarmiento in the last 2 years is 3-2, but will be looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Ryan Mulvihill.
Burns a Brazilian product of Evolve MMA thus far in his career has submitted Saulo Silva and Edward Kelly, both in the first round.
One FC 14: War of Nations take place on March 14 at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia; headlined by Brock Larson vs. Nobutatsu Suzuki for the inaugural One FC Welterweight title.
