UFC vet Chris “The Crippler” Leben Retires
One of the hardest hitting most exciting fighters that has ever stepped into the octagon, Chris “The Crippler” Leben (22-11) has announced his retirement from MMA.
Leben a alum of the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, ends his time in the UFC with a promotional record of (12-10). “The Crippler” has 17 wins by stoppage with 12 (T)KO and 5 submissions. For the majority of his career, Leben was considered to have one of the greatest chins of all time, which helped his style of never being in a boring battle. Leben will also be remembered as the first victim of Anderson Silva losing to “The Spider” in his UFC debut at “Fight Night 5”. Also on the down slide Leben ends his career on a 4 fight losing streak. “The Crippler” also holds a place in UFC history as the first person to win 2 fight in 3 weeks with a TKO of Aaron Simpson at the TUF 11 Finale on June 19, 2010 and then submitted Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 116 on July 3, 2010. The biggest win of his career came at UFC 132 when “The Crippler” knocked out his idle Wanderlei Silva.
