Abraham Perez to fight for IBA world title in November
Abraham Perez is on the cusp of adding his name to a very prestigious list.
The current IBA intercontinental flyweight champion will be getting his opportunity to become the full IBA Flyweight world champion at the beginning of November.
Names such as Holly Holm, Oscar Dela Hoya, and Bernard Hopkins have held IBA world championships. The list of pugilist to have wo world titles while representing the land of enchantment include Bob Foster, Holly Holm, Danny Romero, Johnny Tapia, Angelo Leo, and Brian Mendoza.
Legacy Boxing Promotions has told Caged Minds they intend on having a November 4th event at Tingley Coliseum. The main event is expected to see Abraham “Hammer” Perez squaring off against Mexico’s Louis Villa Padilla. Perez won the IBA intercontinental title in April by knocking out Jeronil Borres and followed it up in July by stopping Gilberto Mendoza for a successful defense. Padilla’s last two wins have come by decision handing George Navarro his first loss and out pointing veteran Carlos Buitrago.
