The Light Heavyweight division has long been one of the UFC’s marquee divisions and the 205 lb. Championship takes center stage at UFC 313.
Reigning Champion, Brazil’s Alex Pereira has returned the UFC Light Heavyweight division to prominence after captivating fans with four championship winning knockouts in eleven months. 2024 was the year of “Potan” with free title defense in a seven-month span. Standing in his way of a fourth defense is the number one contender Magomed Ankalaev. The Russian fighter is unbeaten in his last twelve fights. Meaning he’s hasn’t felt defeat in the last seven years.
The co-main event is a rematch of 2023 Fight of the night that came together in just the last eight days as Rafael Fiziev replaces Dan Hooker to face the number two ranked lightweight contender Justin Gaethje. In the feature fight Chile’s Ignacio Bahamondes looks to break into the rankings when he faces number thirteen ranked Jalin Turner.
