U.K. Welterweight Title Fight Headlines BKFC 77
BKFC will be returning to Birmingham in late June with a champion showdown between two stalwarts of the U.K. scene.
June 28th BKFC 77 takes place at the BP Pulse in Birmingham, England.
In the main event Conor “Brum Town Bomber” Tierney makes his first defense of BKFC U.K. Welterweight Championship against the first ever BKFC U.K. Light Heavyweight & Middleweight Champion Danny Christie.
A Bare Knuckle fighter since 2019, Tierney concord BKB before coming over to BKFC. Tierney met high expectations in his first two bouts defeating Jeremiah Riggs by knockout and Joe Elmore by decision. The inaugural U.K. Welterweight strap was put around Tierney’s waist after a decision win over Johnny Graham at BKFC 66.
Christie is returning to action after a short lived retirement following a second round knockout loss to BKFC Middleweight world champion David Mundell at BKFC Spain. At BKFC 40 Christie made history knocking out Joseph Holmes to become the first BKFC U.K. Light Heavyweight champion. At BKFC 60 Christie again made history knocking out David Round in the first to become the first BKFC U.K. Middleweight champion.
