3 Titles on the Line at WSOF 15
On Nov. 15 World Series of Fighting will be at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa Bay, Florida, for WSOF 15, and 3 titles will be contested for. The main event bout will see David Branch (14-3) making his first defense of the WSOF Middleweight title, against Yushin Okami (30-8).
Branch has won 6 of his last 7 since being released from the UFC. In the WSOF decagon Branch is 4-0, with 3 decision wins. At WSOF 10 Branch submitted Jesse Taylor to become the first ever WSOF Middleweight champion.
Okami a former UFC title challenger is 4-1 in hist last 5. Okami is coming a WSOF 9 promotional debut, submitting Svetlozar Savov.
The WSOF Lightweight title will also be on the line as Melvin Guillard (32-13-2) looks to dethrone Justin Gaethje (12-0). Guillard at WSOF earned his title shot with a 2nd round TKO of Gesias Cavalcante. The undefeated Gaethje is 5-0 in the WSOF cage, with all his wins by (T)KO, and coming off a dominate performance handing Nick Newell his first loss; and successfully defending his title for the first time.
Brazlian, Kalindra Faroia (15-3-1), a member of the Macaco Gold Team, who has 6 of 10 stoppages by (T)KO, and is on a 11 fight win streak; will challenge American Top Team’s Jessica “Jag” Aguilar (18-4) for the WSOF Strawweight title. Aguilar has won 9 fights in a row, most recently becoming the 1st ever WSOF Strawweight champion with a unanimous decision win over Emi Fujino.
