LFA Coming to Route 66 Casino with “Park vs. Willis”
For the first time Legacy Fighting Alliance will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the end of January.
The event will be LFA 58 on January 25th at the Legends Theater inside the route 66 Hotel & Casino and televised on AXS TV. The main event will be at Lightweight with Clovis’s “Fightbot” Heavy Park squaring off with Memphis, Tennessee’s, Jaleel “The Realest” Willis.
Park is a vet of the US Navy and currently works Curry County Sheriff Deputy. A product of Force of 1 Martial Arts, Park has 9 finishes 5 by knockout. The 32-year-old is coming off an LFA 53, unanimous decision win over Le’Ville Simpson. A fight that Park fought the second and third rounds, with a compound fracture to his right ring finger. This will be the fifth time Park’s name is atop the marquee here in the land of Enchantment.
A product of Memphis Judo & Jii Jitsu, Willis has all of his stoppage wins by knockout. Willis had also fought for Bellator & WSOF. The 26-year-old comes in off an LFA 42 technical knockout of Chel Erwin-Davis.
In the co-main event, at Bantamweight, Abel “The Silent Assassin” Cullum faces Damacio “The Angel of Death” Page. Cullum has competed for RFA, Dream, & was Champion in KOTC. Page is a vet of the UFC, WEC, & was a Legacy FC Champion. “The Silent Assassin” is a Force of 1 Fighter, who’s won 3 of 4, all by submission.“The Angel of Death” a JacksonWink product, last fought in December of 2017 submitting Jesus Urbina.
Legacy Fighting Alliance is the promotion that came from the merger between Legacy Fighting Championships & Resurrection Fighting Alliance. Route 66 Casino twice hosted Legacy FC for Legcay FC 30 in April 2014, which featured Holly Holm and Ray Borg & Legacy FC 36 in October 2014, which featured Cody East & Damacio Page win titles. RFA came to the 505 once in September of 2014, with a card that included Alexandre Pantoja, Abel Cullum, Chidi Njokuani, & Nikko Montano in an amateur contest.
