Rolling Thunder Moving in the Right Direction

Almost three years since his last MMA fight and nearly two years after his successful, professional Boxing debut, this past Saturday in Bentonville, Arkansas, Sidiah “Rolling Thunder” Parker returned to the combat sports arena.

The former King of the Cage Middleweight champion fought, well-traveled Fernando “The Menifee Maniac” Gonzalez. Gonzalez a 10-fight vet of Bellator, who also fought for Russian promotion ACB, came in off a May third round knockout of Ty Freeman.  

From 2014-2017, Parker went unbeaten winning seven fights in a row with four by knockout. The Utah native fought for top feeder to the UFC, LFA in 2018,

On November 1st, 2019 Parker stepped in between the ropes for the time as a professional, taking on Maurice Jackson, who came in 2-0. After four hard fought rounds a majority decision went in Parker’s favor. It’s a conclusion that happen about 25% of the time with a “Rolling Thunder” fight, he’s finished 14 of his 18 wins inside the cage including 11 big wins by knockout.

At NWFA Retribution Parker & Gonzalez delivered the as advertised war both are known for. At the end of 15-minute affair it was the Fit NHB fight getting his hand raised. 21 months since his last fight Sidiah Parker looks poised to continue his journey.
