With a victory Moreno can earn a third shot at current champion Alexandre Pantoja who dethroned Moreno in July. The surging Albazi has won all five of his starts in the UFC, with three finishes, two by submission. The Iraqi fighter won his first main event in June outpointing former interim title challenger Kai Kara France.

The co-main event will also be five-rounds as top contender in the Featherweight division battle for a second time. Former interim champion, number two ranked Yair Rodriguez will square off with number three ranked Brian Ortega. Their first meeting in July of 2021 never really got going as Ortega suffered a shoulder injury near the end of the first round.  Rodriguez went t on to submit Josh Emmett to win an interim title and face Alexander Volkanovski in the main event of UFC 290. This will be Ortega’s first action since suffering the injury in July of 2022.
