McGregor vs Chandler is official
Conor McGregor is returning to the octagon.
At the post UFC 300 press conference Dana White announced Conor McGregor versus Michael Chandler will happen June 29th UFC 303 at welterweight. The fight has been expected by fans since the two coached against each during last year TUF season. This fight could lead to seeing the biggest International Fight Week the UFC has ever had.
Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since suffering a horrendous leg injury at UFC 264 in July 2021. McGregor is actually coming off his first big acting role in the remake of Roadhouse. The former UFC Featherweight & Lightweight champion has 19 of his 22 wins by knockout.
Three time Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler embraces the saying here for a good time not for a long time. “Iron” Mike has scored vicious knockouts of Dan Hooker & Tony Ferguson while having fight of the year candidates with Justin Gaethje & Dustin Poirier during his short tenure with the UFC. Chandler is also a finisher with 11 knockouts and 7 submissions in his 23 victories.
