Professional Boxing Back in ABQ in October
It been a while but it time for some live local Boxing. Back to Boxing is the event Legacy Boxing Promotions will be putting on October 16th.
This will be the first professional boxing event in the Albuquerque area since the Fresquez productions event on March 7th 2020. This will be the first professional card for Legacy Boxing since “New Era” at Tingley Coliseum in November of 2019. We were just two-weeks away from “March Madness” was forced to postpone and inevitably cancel the event due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Back to Boxing will take place at the Kiva Auditorium. The card will feature a mix of top contenders and rising prospects. At the top of the car you’ll see multiple time WBC title holder, “The Atrisco Kid” Fidel Maldonado Jr., who has 20 wins by knockout. ABF Featherweight champion, Aaron “Angle Baby” Perez, who has half his wins by knockout. It a family affair as Abraham “The Hammer” Perez, who won the Olympic trials, makes his professional debut.
The undercard is expected to see Cristian “Castigo” Castillo, Leo Grachev, Justice Jiron, and Luis Alberto Gallegos. The lone fight announced at this time pits Santi Giron vs. Anthony Bustillos. Don’t forget card is subject to change. Tickets are avalible locally at both Perez Collision Centers.
